Automated Trash & Recycling Collection
Starting January 1, 2023, the Town of Salina will switch to an automated collection system. Syracuse Haulers will provide every residence with containerized trash and recycling services to make pickup easier and more efficient.
Collection Details:
- To find your collection day, contact Syracuse Haulers or the Town of Salina offices.
- Collection runs from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Inclement weather may cause occasional delays—thank you for your understanding.
Large Item Pickup
Large item pickup is available through the Town of Salina quarterly.
Need a special pickup outside the schedule? Call Syracuse Haulers anytime to arrange a one-off pickup for a fee.

Starting service is easy, just call our office and a representative will be happy to set you up.
Give us a call and we can schedule a special pickup for you. Our customer service person will tell you how much for the collection as well as when you can expect the service to be done. All special pickups are for an additional fee.
Our website contains an updated list of the holidays we observe and how that will impact collection days. Please check our website and social media as well for regular service updates.
If you stay in our coverage area, we will set up your next service address and continue your service. Just give us a call and we can tell you if we provide service at your new residence.
You can call the office and you will be directed to the sales dept. which will contact you to set up a time to meet, or you can fill out the questionnaire on-line and submit it and we will contact you shortly.
YOU MAY CONTACT SYRACUSE HAULERS TO ARRANGE FOR PICKUP OF MANY ITEMS, FOR AN EXTRA FEE
- Yard waste, such as lawn trimmings, branches, logs, brush, or leaves. (Note: The Town of Salina has a yard waste collection program, payable through your taxes.)
- Construction or demolition debris, such as sinks, tubs, toilets, counter tops, sheet rock, paneling, lumber, carpeting, tile, etc.
- Electronic waste, such as TVs, computers, monitors, audio/video equipment, etc.
- Auto parts such as: tires, car batteries, major appliances, furniture, carpeting, sinks, tubs, toilets, pool covers, etc.
- Household furnishings, such as couches, chairs, tables, and appliances.
- Hazardous and flammable materials, such as petroleum products, pesticides, liquid paint, fluorescent tubes, human waste, propane tanks for grills, or anything that is hazardous, toxic, explosive, radioactive, etc. (Please see www.ocrra.org for details on how to responsibly dispose of such items.)
